Under the direction of the Executive Director, the Director of Human Resources will provide a comprehensive range of human resource services to NMIC employees including recruitment and hiring; staff evaluations, salary administration, benefits and staff development and training.
Masters Degree preferably in Human Resource Management, Business Administration, Organizational Psychology or Behavioral Management with four or more years related experience or a BA/BS with the same course of study with five to 10 years (or more) of progressive human resources responsibility (preferably in non-profit organizations), knowledge of general management principals and practices and the supervisory requirements of non-profit sector organizations; must possess strong human-relations skills. Thorough knowledge of human resources management including recruitment, compensation and benefits, state, city and federal laws pertaining to personnel management law, progressive discipline and benefits. Excellent writing skills, proficiency in word processing and database systems, commitment to cultural diversity and sensitivity, supervision experience. Above-average ability to read, write and converse in English. Excellent communication skills with a sense of humor.
