Thursdays in May: Classical Thursdays is back

“Music is the art of emotions and emotions are what makes us humans. We want to keep and share our humanity and we want to keep and share our music for a more aware world.”  Eugene Blount, Abp

The Brooklyn Center for the Arts is delighted to present the return of the classical concert series, Classical Thursdays.

The series is both designed to host a high level of artistic expression and to be an educational experience, raising awareness on the value of classical music in our modern life.  Each concert features young recognized international artists and it is introduced by a pre- concert lecture held by the musicians.

Classical Thursdays take place in the fast-growing community of Bed-Stuy in Brooklyn, in the beautiful setting of the Elim International Square and aims to add a valuable option to the rich cultural panorama of the Big Apple.

Starting Thursday May 4th there will be four (4) weekly appointments with classical musicians at the Brooklyn Center for the Arts, 28 Madison Street in Brooklyn.  Concerts start at 7.30 p.m. Doors open at 7.00 p.m.

We will present four (4) concerts in May:  May 4th, 11th, 18th, and 25th.  The full programing for Classical Thursdays will resume in Fall 2017.

Ticket Price:    $5.00
