4/27 Deadline: Senior housing opportunity at Mitchell-Lama development

Interested in living at 9000 Shore Road Brooklyn, NY? Seniors (age 62 and over with a limited income based on the household size) have an opportunity to apply for housing within the Mitchell-Lama senior development, supervised by New York State Homes and Community Renewal must submit their applications for the studio waiting list for 450 applicants by April 27th, 2017 at 11 am.

If selected, qualified veterans, who served during times of war and reside in New York State, or their surviving spouses, will be afforded an admission preference. All other applications will be processed in order of selection. Qualifications will be based on HUD Section 8 and IRS 42 Tax Credit Program guidelines.

Interested persons may obtain an application by writing to Shore Hill Housing and include a STAMPED, SELF-ADDRESSED ENVELOPE, no smaller than 9 x 4 inches, to:

Completed applications must be sent by REGULAR MAIL TO THE POST OFFICE BOX stated on the application (no certified, priority, registered, overnight or express mail will be accepted). Applications must be mailed in a white #10 business size envelope (4 1/8″ x 9 1/3″)/ Applications received after the deadline date will be returned. If more than one application is received, the applicant will be disqualified.
