Tuition Free programs beginning January and February 2016

The State University of New York Brooklyn Educational Opportunity Center (BEOC) is recruiting for our “Tuition Free” programs scheduled to begin January and February 2016!

This is a great opportunity for individuals to earn their high school equivalency diploma or prepare for a career or college without worrying about the high cost of tuition. Below, you will find our program offerings:

Academic Programs:

  • HSE/TASC Preparation (Official TASC Test Site)
  • College Prep (CUNY Assessment Preparation)
  • English for Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL)

Career Programs (certificate programs leading to national certification):

  • Medical Assisting
  • Medical Electronic Records
  • Hospitality Management/Customer Service
  • Security Guard Training 8/16 hour certification/license

12/04 Event: TownHall on Teen Sexual Health and Free HIV/STD testing

Teens Helping Each Other presents A Teen Town Hall Meeting: Getting to Zero #Get Yo LYFE (Let Your Future Exist), a World AIDS Day 2015 Event. Come out for a night of honest discussion about teen sexual health. Free open HIV/STD testing beginning at 4:30 PM.

The event will be held on Friday, December 4, 2015 at 5:30 at SUNY Downstate Medical Center, Health Science Education Building 395 Lenox Road (between E. 34th Street and New York Avenue). Brooklyn, NY. There will also be a spoken word session.

High school juniors and their families are invited to join SUNY representatives for a program designed to provide information and answer your questions about the college search process and all that is available to undergraduates at The State University of New York.

1:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m. – Registration / Check-In

1:00 p.m. – 5:00 p.m. – College Fair

5:00 p.m. – Program Concludes
