RECAP: Summer Youth Resource Expo

Thank you to all who attended and participated in my Summer Youth Resource Expo this past Sunday.

Hundreds of young people and their parents were able to speak to over 40 participating organizations, receiving information on summer programs and internships in the areas of education, music, dance, culture, arts, sports, business, and more.

We enjoyed performances by Brooklyn United Marching BandTropicalfete Inc., and Lotus Creations Academy of the Performing Arts. Attendees won amazing raffle prizes, like free dance lessons, free camp sessions, game systems, technology gift packs, swag bags, and even a free camping trip!

I am so excited to bring you an even bigger and better Summer Youth Resource Expo in 2018. Let’s continue working together to build a brighter future for our youth!

See below for live video from the event and website links and other information about the featured organizations.

Sincerely,

Council Member Laurie A. Cumbo
